Exceptional experience and pleasure to play (Switzerland)

I have been playing my Conti Entrada now for some six weeks and can only confirm all the positive reviews and experiences: the top-notch build quality, the overall feel and touch of a precious instrument, the great sound both acoustic and amplified, and the looks – what a beauty!

On top of that – and for me personally perhaps the most important aspect – is the Entrada’s playability. I have read comments that its neck plays like butter; and that’s exactly it. The neck shape, the gorgeous ebony fingerboard, the comfortable frets and perfect fret end work, and set-up make the Entrada an exceptional experience and pleasure to play.

To be honest: I was expecting to receive a great instrument. But I felt unsure, if its playability would suit me. There was no need to worry. The Entrada’s neck is one of the best, perhaps the best I have ever played.

Moreover, the small body size (15″), the relatively thin body – almost like a semi-hollow – the weight, and the good balance make the instrument very comfortable to play, both sitting and standing.

A further interesting and positive observation is that the Entrada poses way less feedback problems than my other archtops.

My first thoughts were that this instrument is too good for me, for my level and my limited talent. But then I realized that it felt much easier to play certain licks and lines, chords and pieces. My humble conclusion is that an instrument should support the player. And this is what the Entrada does very, very well.

Finally, the whole buying process was a very positive experience. The great support from the Conti team, it’s kindness and helpfulness, always answering still another question of mine, and finally the kind and very informative personal video by Robert Conti – all that was amazing. Thanks to the whole team!

Comments After Receiving Pre-Ship Video

“It‘s so kind to produce such a personal video with such interesting and relevant information about the instrument. It‘s also moving to see a great player like Robert inaugurating my new #guitar. Making such a video is a truly remarkable service distinguishing you from all I have experienced in the world of musical instruments, shops and retailers.”

David Hall with Conti Heirloom Archtop

Fretboard action is silky smooth

This “Heirloom” is quite simply one exquisite modern jazz guitar & I am absolutely delighted with it. Out of the box, having shipped several thousand miles, a slight tweak of the G string tuning was all that was needed as the set up by your guy is perfection. What was quite unexpected however, given the relatively thin body depth, was this instrument’s beautiful acoustic sound — it truly ” sings” with a perfect Jazz voicing. Harmonics ring clear at every harmonic fret & again surprise, given the 24 frets fingerboard, the 23rd & 24th frets rang clear & true across

Robin Masters with 2 Entrada Archtop Guitars

Quickly became my go-to guitar…

“I bought my first Entrada (Ruby) in October 2017, and it quickly became my go-to guitar.  It’s such a beauty with a nice round mellow tone, and a build quality I would’ve expected to pay a lot more for.  Its focus on playability is of the highest standard. On arrival, the setup was perfect after such a long journey, and it merely needed tweaking back in tune. It’s such a pleasure to play, with its low and light action.  It spent most of the year sat on its stand beside my chair where I could pick it up at will, and it often demands I do that.

Geordie Thompson – Perth, Australia

All going well between the blonde and the brunette with the blonde still adjusting to the weather a bit. The double pickup natural blonde is a great complement to the single pick up sunburst, with a special sound all of its own. Each are unique in their own way and feel great to play. The quality of these instruments is second to none and I am sure as the word gets out they will be a prized possession of many great guitarists. Thank you Robert, for taking the time to develop this guitar and Mike, for your great service and
