It only took a few days for me to get used to it. I adjusted it to my liking, removed the pickguard for aesthetic reasons since I play without a pick, and put on flat wound strings that I am accustomed to using.
I own several guitars, and this one is by far the easiest and most enjoyable to play, especially for jazz. Very low action, fast neck, surprising sustain, beautiful aesthetics, and lightweight – you can play it at home without an amplifier.
The exclusivity of the marketing made me apprehensive about buying a guitar online from the USA without trying it, but I am convinced that I made a good choice and hope to keep it for a long time.

I received the guitar. It’s was delivered in perfect shape. It was seen and heard by virtually everyone at the [National Guitar Workshop] campus, about 300 people. I was excited about it, and carried it on my back or played it every night of the week. Nothing feels like an Ebony fingerboard…
I ordered 2 Entradas. These guys really make buying a guitar fun. They are eager to speak with you, answer your questions, and always get back to you if they have to check something out. Feels like you’re buying a guitar from an old friend. One Entrada was dead perfect right out of the box. Even in perfect tune!! It still has barely gone out of tune. The other needed a bit of tweaking to get it the way I like it, but nothing major. The surprising thing is that both of these played like butter right out of the
Smooth neck and great action
I Love My New Entrada! The 24-fret neck and shallow cutaway allow easy access to the highest register of the guitar. At half the depth of my old archtop, it’s easy to wrap my elderly right shoulder around. The spot behind the bridge where my hand rests while playing is comfortable. Gives me a consistent pick stroke across all strings. Beautiful antique sunburst finish. Smooth neck and great action. Ebony pickguard is thick and secure. Happier with that than I had expected to be. (I took the pickguard off my big ol’ archtop.) Plays so much better than my full-bodied
