Dealing directly with Mike and Robert has made the buying experience seamless. Despite this being an online purchase, I felt that I was in the store with them. The videos online accurately showcase the sound of this guitar. The value in this instrument is apparent in the finish, quality of the tuners, pickup, fingerboard and playability. It is light (5.7 pounds), and comfortable, being 15″ and thin like a 335. It has enough volume to practice unplugged, and has predictable humbucker sound when plugged in. To make this a truly honest review, I would add a nitpick for future production

I’ve played the Conti Guitar in a big band setting (18 piece) playing 40’s swing and in a sextet. I really liked it for the longer gig because of its light weight; it didn’t dig into my neck after hours of playing. It is very comfortable. First, the punch line: After a month I’ve concluded that this guitar is not a substitute, surrogate, or compromise for that more expensive jazz box that one longs for and cannot afford.
