The superb Conti Entrada was received extremely well packaged through FedEx International ahead of schedule. The supplied gig bag provided a safe and secure environment and the guitar was revealed in perfect condition. Once tuned, the Entrada played perfectly, no adjustment was needed to the intonation or playing action. The fret ends and fingerboard were exquisitely finished as was the tailpiece and headstock. Surprise, surprise. Miss Entrada showed up this evening. Wow! What an absolutely beautiful instrument. I am absolutely stunned at how beautiful this guitar is. But more than that, the strings are perfectly matched for a balance in tonal quality that you could only imagine. It’s lightweight makes it a dream to handle. I own a Fender Starcaster, it’s too heavy and doesn’t give me the sound I’m looking for. I saw and purchased a Washburn J7. It’s thick but the strings and action leaves something to be desired. I have been playing the Conti Guitar pretty much exclusively for jazz arrangements since I got it. I even use it for fingerstyle jazz arrangements because of the easy action and the access to the high registers. I own several other guitars (a couple of Taylor acoustics), but the Conti is my favorite archtop!
